John Austin is an interactive designer, independent researcher, author, filmmaker, cultural critic, and entrepreneur.  He graduated from George Mason University in 2000,  where he majored in International Studies and Government and Politics. He has over 15 years of expertise working with international clients on design projects.  For over fifteen years, he has worked in augmented reality/virtual reality. Between 2007 and 2009 he divided his time living between the US and Japan where he helped found Autism Family Network dedicated to providing behavioral and language therapy to children on the autism spectrum. He designed interactive experiences for children with ASD to help them improve their language skills. He has created 3-D assets for games, data visualizations, and nonprofits.
