Nandee Shabazz has been an active community worker and organizer for the past eight years. She holds a B.A. in international relations and political science from Florida International University and a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University. Before her graduate studies, she served as a core team member for the Broward chapter of the Dream Defenders, was a member of the MAS - Public Affairs and Civic Engagement national team, and has formerly served as the youth director for MAS- South Florida.

In the summer of 2023, she worked as a program lead for an international exchange program for Iraqi undergraduate students. After completing a fellowship and apprenticeship program with the Muslim Anti-Racism Collaborative, Nandee continues to work with the organization as an anti-racism trainer.
