Introducing Our New Executive Director

When we launched five years ago, we intentionally chose “Collaborative” to capture the spirit of innovation, creativity, and cooperation in our organization’s name, MuslimARC. Over the last eighteen months, our leadership team has invested in a comprehensive assessment and bold strategic planning to move MuslimARC from a startup mindset to one of institution-building.

Co-Founders Margari and Namira at the ARCHouse

When we launched five years ago, we intentionally chose “Collaborative” to capture the spirit of innovation, creativity, and cooperation in our organization’s name, MuslimARC.

Over the last eighteen months, our leadership team has invested in a comprehensive assessment and bold strategic planning to move MuslimARC from a startup mindset to one of institution-building. As we celebrate our fifth year, we are excited to move into a new version of MuslimARC that is even more responsive to the needs of our communities, that is sustainable for its leadership, and that is reflective of our anti-racism principles and vision. Specifically, we are investing in change today so that we can meet our strategic goals in creating space, connecting people, and cultivating solutions for racial equity by the year 2022.

After months of discussion and planning, we are excited to shift to a different organizational structure.

With unanimous board approval in March 2019, we are honored to announce the following staff transitions:

Our deepest gratitude to Namira Islam for five years in the role of Executive Director and our warmest congratulations to Margari Hill for her new role. We are confident that this new structure will mean increased innovation and responsiveness in creating spaces for learning, connecting people in multi-ethnic networks, and cultivating solutions for racial equity.

MuslimARC aims to be sustainable, responsive, and equitable in our approach to anti-racism education and training. We have worked with over 20,000 community members on the ground in over 45 cities since 2014. We hope to reach thousands more by 2022 through the use of adaptive solutions and bold visioning, God-willing.

We look forward to connecting with you in 2019 and beyond.
